Know which records support a clear roofing project from inspection through closeout.
Before work begins
Common records include inspection notes, photographs, measurements, product selections, owner or association approvals, permit documents, financing disclosures and the signed roofing agreement. Insurance-related projects may also include carrier correspondence supplied by the owner.
During construction
Keep approved change orders, deck-replacement documentation, delivery records, inspection results and important project communications. Do not send Social Security numbers, bank passwords or full payment-card data through ordinary website forms or email.
Project closeout
Closeout may include final inspection information, paid invoices, completion photos, warranty documents and care instructions. Availability depends on the project and contract.
